I don't work for Princeton Review, all I used was this book and it worked tremendously

First of all, I never write reviews, but I read a couple of reviews on here (apparently written by GRE tutors) that, quite frankly, appalled me to my core and so here it goes:
One reviewer states , "Don't let this book give you a false sense of security."
-Do not listen to that. Any sense of security going in to that exam is a good thing.
Same reviewer then makes the audacious claim that in order to get the "highest score possible", at a minimum, you should spend upwards of $100 on prep materials instead of this book.
-Ordering and receiving all these materials at once, and then trying to digest them all simultaneously, will probably overwhelm you into a catatonic fetal position. You should dip your feet in the water first before diving in, and this book is a good guide for these uncharted waters.
Finally, said reviewer leaves you with the ominous and foreboding cliffhanger, "The GRE is easy for some, but not for most."
-Boy, am I glad I didn't talk to YOU before I took the GRE. Jeez Louise. I couldn't think of a worse mentality to put someone in before preparing for the exam. Mentality, that's the name of the game here, and that's what these tests are really, just games with a score, and in this game, and just like any other game, you've got to learn how to play. This book will help you do that.
-My Actual Review of the Book-
I started preparing for the GRE about 2.5 months before I was going to take it, and all I did was read this book from front to cover. I read every page, answered every question, and read my flashcards every now and then for maybe an hour or a half hour each day. I had no tutor and didn't use any other books besides this one. I had just graduated college so I had very little money, and don't ask me why, but I felt that if I just bought one of these test prep books and read it front to cover, I'd be as prepared as I'd ever be for the exam. Honestly, I chose Princeton Review because I figured it was most likely written by Ivy League people and they we're probably smarter than I was. After 2.5 months I took the exam and did very well, well enough to be accepted to an Ivy League PhD program and would absolutely attribute a lot of that success to this book.
The great thing about this book is that it actually reads like a book and not like a textbook. In fact, I would recommend that if you do get this book, to read it front to cover. The tone and language of the book is very personable, succinct, and straightforward. The way it's narrated, it's almost like a story where you are the main character, the GRE is the setting, and to get into grad school you must overcome these obstacles that are sections on the test.
The book builds your knowledge of the test and subsequent test-taking strategies from the ground up. These strategies are very logical and effective, and if you practice them you will bring them with you into the room come test time. Done correctly, this book should frame the exam for you in a way so that when you go to the testing center to take the exam, you'll be walking in knowing what to expect and how to deal.
