For centuries, Jewish parents have done so through a Bar/Bat Mitzvah (Son/Daughter of the Law) ceremony. I have written this book as a practical, "how to" guide for Christian parents who are seeking to similarly release their children into God's image of adult identity and destiny. This book will give you the what, where, when, who, why, and how of conducting a Christian Bar Barakah ceremony for your son or daughter.
About the Author
Craig Hill, along with his wife Jan and their two sons, live in Morrison, Colorado, where Craig and Jan give senior leadership to Family Foundations International, the ministry through which life-changing Family Foundations seminars are conducted around the world.
God has given Craig unique insight into marriage, family, and interpersonal relationships, resulting in his ability to identify for many people the root causes of relational conflict, compulsive habits, low self-esteem, workaholism and undesirable life patterns which are repeated from one generation to the next. By interweaving personal stories with biblical truth, God has anointed Craig to pierce through the veil of the mind to minister to the depths of the heart, resulting in real life change for many.
Author of seven books and numerous teaching tapes, Craig holds a BA from Carleton College in Russian Area Studies and Geology, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Definitely an experience to long for

I have never received the blessing of a father, rather cursing and disempowerment. As much as I have strived to do well in my life I can see the same failing patterns in my life as my father had in his.
This book is a must read and has opened my eyes to a new world of blessing just as it will yours. Before I even do this with my own kids I will be having this ceremony for myself run by my pastor and a spiritual father.
Craig Hill has brought in a lost path to light and his words are unquestionable!
This is a must read! don't miss out.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to set their child up for success. It is a very easy book to read and it is short. But it provides a great plan for how to instill confidence in your child. It provides a good plan of actual ceremonial action steps to take in helping your child transfer from childhood into adulthood. It does not supply a lot in the way of examples for actual blessing prayers but it does provide enough to give you the idea. The book 65 Promises from God for Your Child provides some additional guidance in blessing and praying for your child according to God's word.
